Election Issues

Monthly Investment Journal - 30 April 2010 - 04:50 PM

There is an interesting contrast between the jaded electorate in the wake of the white- knuckle ride of the credit crunch / banking bailout/ MPs expenses scandal, and the apparent closeness of the opinion polls ahead of the May 6th General Election. Of course, the first-past-the-post system and the relatively small number of swing seats will make the result less close than the percentages imply, but even so a hung parliament is being anticipated by many for the first time in over 35 years.
