Galvan Derivative Trading is a CFD provider. As these products are fairly complex, it is important that you research all relevant information in order to make informed decisions about our service.
To help in this process, this page contains links to key documents and information which you should consider before applying for an account.
It is very important that you familiarise yourself with all of our terms, conditions, and policies together with understanding the mechanics of the products before you consider applying for an account.

Postal applications will usually be processed on the day that they are received. You can download an application form that you can print, complete and post back to us.
To appoint Galvan Research and Trading to act as an agent for your CFD account please complete, sign and send the Appointment of Agent form and Customer Agreement form to: Galvan Derivative Trading, 3rd Floor, Moorgate Hall, 155 Moorgate, London EC2M 6XB.
Terms of business
The following documents together comprise the terms of business.
- In our General Terms (PDF) we set out the bulk of the contractual arrangements which apply to all products and account types. You also find information on the language and methods of communication we use with you, the method and frequency of how we will communicate information about your account to you, and how will deal with your funds held with us.
- The CFD Terms (PDF) documents contain specific terms relevant to the product.
- The Margining Terms (PDF) document explains how margining works by giving a number of trade examples, and details your obligations when placing spread bets including when you may need to make payments to us.
- The CFD Market Information Sheets (PDF) contain product specific information including: the spreads that are applied to various products, any financing charges and commissions that may be applied to certain position.
Policies
Our Risk Warning Notice (PDF) is an important document which summarises the key risks involved in spread betting or trading CFDs on an underlying product. It also explains leverage, the nature of margined trading, and volatility.
How we trade with you and the availability of markets for our products is explained in our Trade and Order Execution Policy (PDF). It also provides further information on charges, how we execute your orders, and how we construct our prices.
Our Conflicts of Interest Policy Summary (PDF) explains how possible conflicts between our interests, other clients’ interests, and your interests may arise, and how we guard against this.
